Sir -- I mean, Morgan... Good evening. When you get this call, please let me know. I haven't seen you in a few days, and since Dr. Kite appeared, I'm worried that something's happened to you. Except the rest of it filters back, all at once. Xerxes, capturing her; Kite, the room with Morgan, the heart in the box, the changes, Despair -
Finding Morgan, later, because -
There's nothing in her to be sick over, because she hasn't eaten yet, but Sonia manages it anyway. It takes her the better part of an hour to compose herself enough to call, but she has to call. Can't think of doing anything else, though she'll have to call Hinata right after. ]
Morgan? [ For once, Sonia Nevermind's voice is small and unsure, and she coughs, her mouth dry, because she hasn't had any water yet, either. It is her voice, though, not Junko's. Which at least may be a welcome change. ] Are you - ? I think you must be, because right after - I -
[ They'd died on the same day. Logic implies they'd revive on the same day, too. She's quiet for a moment, before she continues, hesitant. ]
...I understand if you do not wish to speak to me, and if not you do not need to trouble yourself to reply, but I - I hope you are all right. I'm so sorry. [ He must have at least revived reverted to his usual self, as with her, so his heart shouldn't be a danger...
...though it wouldn't have been anyway, if she had just let it kill him, before. ] I - that was...my worst fear. I'm so sorry.
[ She's sorry her worst fear is going fucking nuts. ]

Once Morgan revives, he sits in his bed and... continues to sit there for a good while, because he finds his confusion has not diminished a single bit since he was last alive. He was ready for death, but he's not sure he was ready for that death. Is this why people immerse themselves in alcohol? Because this seems like one of those times when a guy could use a stiff one. Maybe a glass of wine might help him right now... though he wonders if he has to look for a new potential supplier.
After he's exchanged words with his roommates and stuffed some food into his mouth for the simple fact that he probably shouldn't die of hunger right after dying from an ironic stabbing, he finds his cellphone and turns it on. A message... from Sonia. Hm. Yeah... Can't say that's too surprising. He stares at it for a moment before slowly putting his phone to his ear and listening. Sonia's voice... and Sonia's usual tone.
Somewhat. The timidity and regret there are foreign. And while the tactician in him reasons that you do not associate with the crazy girl who fatally stabbed you, the friend in him counsels to forgive. Once he's heard her message out, he calls her back. ]
Er... Sonia? What happened?
[ This seems like... a reasonable enough question. ]

action; 4/19 or whenever the heck he revives
But Morgan, much like her best friend, hadn't really changed, so much as made a decision that had forced her and the others into opposition against him. It's too similar, and Noire's dwelt on it too much, and in the end, when she's counted the days... she settles against the wall of his housing block, his sword balanced across her knees and the page of Thoron tucked safely away into her quiver. She doesn't know what she'll say to him when he revives. She doesn't know how he'll react. She doesn't even know if this will be another case like Eugeo's, where he won't come back at all.
All Noire knows is that she needs to see him.
... Except she's far too tired to stake the place out very professionally, so should he ever open that door at some point, hopefully he won't hit that blonde archer half-slumped and dozing there. ]
correctamundo
It isn't like blacking out on the battlefield and waking up in the medical tent. It isn't like waking up and knowing that your side must have won in the end because it's safe and quiet, and because otherwise you'd be dead. When he wakes up, there's no rest or relief; he wakes with fear.
He's afraid to know how the battle turned out. He wants to know, doesn't want to know. No matter what, he's lost. And rather than know defeat or disappointment, he'd rather know the intimate details of the ceiling for just a little longer.
Eventually, he climbs down from his bed. It's thoughtless and automatic. He checks himself and the new damage to his robe (regretfully) and stuffs some piece of food in his mouth. This house is a safe place. He doesn't want to go outside or face anyone, so for once in his life, he takes his time. Takes a shower, scrubs at his robe, checks the food in stock, lingers at the front door. But he can't stay here forever. He opens the door slowly and peeks out (some crazy destructive things were going on when last he was alive), but all he sees is...
Noire.
He freezes.
The last time he saw her, she was angry. It wasn't her blood and thunder side -- just her, all Noire, furious and resolute. And he can't blame her, no more than he can blame Morgan for killing him. He hurt Morgan, badly; there could be no forgiveness for that.
... But. She shouldn't be sleeping outside in the depths of winter like this. He hesitates, then steps out toward her. Maybe he can pick her up without waking her... ]

[voice] i forgot to fix the header WE'LL SAY 4/18
She hadn't been aware of what happened to him once she returned. It was only after she spoke to the other Morgan after their fight against the Risen did she know. And it hurts.
The other Morgan warned her that such things could happen, to her and possibly her brother as they're one and the same. And though it was different this time, because it was he who made the choice, she hadn't expected it so soon. Nor had she wanted it all to end so similarly to his twin's. If anything like it was to happen, she wanted--hoped to change the outcome so neither would have to experience such a thing again.
She promised them both... though she promised Morgan that she'd never leave him alone, that she'd never allow any harm to come to him. But still she failed him, just as she failed to protect Chrom from dying at Kite's hands (or so she believes). So for all that's happened, she blames herself.]
Morgan confessed what it is that happened to you and... I'm sorry. [There's a long pause]
I'm so sorry I was not there for you, that I have failed to protect you, Brother... [There's a small hesitation before she ends the message. She opens her mouth if only for a moment, wanting nothing more than to promise him that she wouldn't allow it to happen again. But in such a place, unpredictable and dangerous as it is... who's to say that it wouldn't?
So in her own guilt and remembrance of already broken promises, the feed simply cuts off.]

day after murder party, action!
don't ask how he knew which window to go to.]
and so it becomes the ladies + charles club
When Morgan is awake, he's awake, and when he goes to bed at night, he is as a Morgan-shaped corpse. It takes a long moment for the knocking to rouse him, but at least he gets there... and his first thought goes to answering that window before the others can wake up. Go, Morgan, go...
He slides his feet out over the side of his top bunk bed, streeetching out to see if he can reach the floor with his feet so he doesn't have to use the ladder. This is a failure, but he decides he gives no hoots about it and drops to the floor anyway. He pads over to the window blearily in his generic t-shirt-and-shorts jammies, looking like maybe he would prefer being dead right now.

Good afternoon, Ada! That sounds lovely. I'll even trade you some of that tea for apple munchies.
[ Because he gathered more fruit from the fallen garden than it seemed prudent to eat all at once. So he'd sliced them up, let them sit out in the sun (no need to protect against bugs, even)... and presto! Dried fruit. A little stash of it sits invitingly on the coffee table in front of him. ]
