[ The him of a few months ago would have agreed with her, but now the thought of clashing with his mother isn't nearly as impossible as it once was. His smile turns crooked, and his hand stills as he meets her stare. ]

Of course, I'd do everything I could to make her see things my way. Her opinion is important to me. But what's one opinion against all of you, Noire? My feelings wouldn't change.

[ admittedly, it's still difficult to wrap her mind around, and she might have the fever to blame for that, but she has to admit to a little awe. He's... definitely changed.
