[An upbeat male voice comes on:]
Hey, it's Morgan! If you were expecting a girl, you picked the wrong picture. If not, then congratulations! But sorry too, because this means I've missed you. Leave a message!

Good afternoon, Ada! That sounds lovely. I'll even trade you some of that tea for apple munchies.
[ Because he gathered more fruit from the fallen garden than it seemed prudent to eat all at once. So he'd sliced them up, let them sit out in the sun (no need to protect against bugs, even)... and presto! Dried fruit. A little stash of it sits invitingly on the coffee table in front of him. ]

Apple... munchies? [ she asks rather hesitantly, hoping Morgan hasn't made any sort of magical concoction or something, but when she peers over, it's easy to see it's nothing any more frightening than dried apples. ] Ah, all right! Thank you. That's a good idea. I never thought about it before...
no subject
[ He gestures invitingly. Come sit!! ]
no subject
That's too bad... But that's still pretty wonderful, Morgan. I wish that I knew how to prepare any food...
[ once she's started the water boiling, she comes over to sit with Morgan - then, reflecting on what she just said, suddenly remembers one of the conversations she had last night. Right, she was talking with Noire about the cakes, and then later, she saw the two of them... ]
Oh! That's right, Morgan... I saw you speaking with that girl, Noire. Do you know her? She said that you can bake cakes with fruit!
no subject
Yeah, I know her! We're... um, pretty close. [ Hehe. He can't help the hint of pink that touches his cheeks. ] You two seem like you'd be fast friends!
no subject
We do? [ mostly, they just talked about her brother... and the other Morgan. Her face darkens a little at the memory. ]
no subject
Yup! You're both demure, good-natured, terribly shy, somewhat frail, terrified of bugs, overly fun to tease... Frankly, I'm surprised that your like natures didn't draw you to each other sooner!
[ and he doesn't even know about ada's obsession with the occult... ]
no subject
E-eh?! Fun to tease? That's mean, Morgan... [ pout. But she doesn't take it to heart - no worries. Actually, she looks a little amused. ] But, um... I'll take that as a compliment, I think... You seemed like you got along with her very well.
no subject
[ SHAMELESS but also blushing a little because it's still new and exciting to be able to say that. He doesn't wanna brag, but... as a roommate, she'll find out sooner or later...? ]
no subject
R-really?! Morgan, I had no idea...! That's wonderful. She's very pretty! [ she says with a smile, clasping her hands together. ] It sounds like she can make good food, too...
no subject
It's a shame ingredients are so hard to come by. I've never tasted her cooking in full before... which I'll have to remedy as soon as possible! Home cooking made with love is just about the most comforting thing there is, don't you think?
no subject
Definitely. My friend is an excellent cook... I miss his food already. I'm sure Miss Noire's cooking will be delicious, as well.
no subject
[ let him gush ]
no subject
[ it's the first she's heard of it! She supposes she shouldn't be surprised, but Noire seemed so slight and shy that it's hard to picture. ]
no subject
no subject
[ well, sort of. It's more like the idea of being able to defend the people she loves is appealing than actually using a weapon. ]
no subject
[ It's a perfect weapon for her, too... HE IS WARM TO THIS IDEA. ]
no subject
[ morgan why do you have that... but she doesn't seem adverse to the idea, at least. Rather, she looks curious. ]
no subject
[ He hops up and vanishes into their room for a quick minute. When he emerges, he sure does have a bow and arrow. The bow itself is of sound craftsmanship even to the untrained eye. ]
no subject
Uwah... I never even noticed that you had something like this, Morgan. Where did you find it?
no subject
[ From that one time he fought her and Morgan... whoops but thanks grima. He holds the bow out to Ada, withholding the arrow for now. ]
Give it a feel. This one's got a fair bit of poundage to its pull, but you'll work your way up to it in no time.
no subject
O... Okay. I'll try...!
[ and, holding the bow vertically, she does indeed try, wrapping slender fingers around the bowstring and pulling. Or... trying to pull.
As it turns out, serious bows are pretty hard to draw. Ada, who's been raised in soft, cushy surroundings and never lifted anything much heavier than cat litter, can't pull it very far. ] Hn... I-it's really hard...!
no subject
It's certainly harder than it looks! But far from impossible. If Noire can do it, there's no reason why you can't!
[ Eventually. Very eventually. ]
lewd!!!
N-no, I can't... Noire must be really strong! She looked so delicate, too...
i'm quite sure i have no idea what you're referring to
