Now that you mention it, learning each other's languages might be a good precaution. Someone's told me the story of a god who destroyed his people's tower because they dared to build it too high. And then he got them all discombobulated by forcing them to speak different languages! Kind of a jerk move, I thought.

But my point is: if Yao ever thought they needed to break us up quick-like, they could probably just remove whatever magic it is that allows us to understand each other.

Which would be rather bad. I think I could understand the larger portion of Haven, at least...a good chunk of people here speak English or Japanese natively, I think. Raphael speaks French...but, there are some people from worlds where none of the languages I do speak would be of any use, and I fear yours might very well be one of them.

Yes! Also, a fair amount of people speak it here. Actually, most people seem to speak either English or Japanese or a non-Earth language...there are some outliers - Korra and her friends speak Chinese, as I said, and Raphael speaks French - but for that is true of the majority of the people here, as near as I can tell.

The switch is natural to her; despite the auto-translate, she's always tried to match what people are speaking when she can. It's actually a marked change from how she usually speaks to Morgan, which he might notice! Given that she doesn't know his language, she actually speaks to him in Novoselican for the most part. ]
