voicemail
[An upbeat male voice comes on:]
Hey, it's Morgan! If you were expecting a girl, you picked the wrong picture. If not, then congratulations! But sorry too, because this means I've missed you. Leave a message!
[Beep.]
(( ooc: feel free to use this for face-to-face interactions as well! just leave a date and voice/action/etc. in the header. ))

[ let him gush ]

[ it's the first she's heard of it! She supposes she shouldn't be surprised, but Noire seemed so slight and shy that it's hard to picture. ]

[ well, sort of. It's more like the idea of being able to defend the people she loves is appealing than actually using a weapon. ]
no subject
[ It's a perfect weapon for her, too... HE IS WARM TO THIS IDEA. ]
no subject
[ morgan why do you have that... but she doesn't seem adverse to the idea, at least. Rather, she looks curious. ]

[ He hops up and vanishes into their room for a quick minute. When he emerges, he sure does have a bow and arrow. The bow itself is of sound craftsmanship even to the untrained eye. ]
no subject
Uwah... I never even noticed that you had something like this, Morgan. Where did you find it?
no subject
[ From that one time he fought her and Morgan... whoops but thanks grima. He holds the bow out to Ada, withholding the arrow for now. ]
Give it a feel. This one's got a fair bit of poundage to its pull, but you'll work your way up to it in no time.
no subject
O... Okay. I'll try...!
[ and, holding the bow vertically, she does indeed try, wrapping slender fingers around the bowstring and pulling. Or... trying to pull.
As it turns out, serious bows are pretty hard to draw. Ada, who's been raised in soft, cushy surroundings and never lifted anything much heavier than cat litter, can't pull it very far. ] Hn... I-it's really hard...!
no subject
It's certainly harder than it looks! But far from impossible. If Noire can do it, there's no reason why you can't!
[ Eventually. Very eventually. ]
lewd!!!
N-no, I can't... Noire must be really strong! She looked so delicate, too...
i'm quite sure i have no idea what you're referring to
no subject
I see... But that only makes her stronger, I think. [ a pause as she looks at the bow in her hand again, then over to Morgan. ] Can you pull it?
no subject
Sure. Wanna see?
[ Though he will need his bow back. In theory just sayin'. ]
no subject
[ giving it to him now! Wow her with your manly strength, Morgan. ]
Where I'm from, we don't really use bows like this anymore... It's the first time I've held one.
no subject
No kidding? Then what do you use instead?
no subject
no subject
[ guns
........ advanced from bows?
wait
would everyone in his world have guns someday??
.
get it together man ]
I see! Though... from what I've seen, guns are a lot more efficient than our tome magic.
no subject
[ AND WAY COOLER THAN GUNS, don't say such a terrible thing ]
no subject
[ just sayin' you can kill a lot of people with guns ]
no subject
I... I guess that's true. Somehow, that makes me feel kind of sad...
[ she loves magic, too! Even if it doesn't really exist in her world. ]
no subject
A little, right? But there are always the other types of magic that heal or protect that no gun can replace! Unless there are healing guns out there, but I haven't seen 'em yet.
no subject
That's true... I hope that it doesn't ever disappear completely. [ then what would she collect. ] ... I'm a little bit jealous of you and Rose. For you, magic is so commonplace.
