He's visibly befuddled by her assessment, because he doesn't feel or act particularly handsome... but that must be how she feels about his remarks too, so he guesses they're even. ]

Well... heck. I'm flattered! If I have even half my father's looks, I guess I'm running strong.

[ ah, yes, there's the look. She knows befuddlement like an old friend. ]

[ A LITTLE. Though Chrom is a heartthrob, no one can deny. His fingers circle idly in her hair as he thinks, running lightly over her scalp and doing nothing for the order of her look this morning. ]

But I'm glad that... whatever I'm doing is working. And for the record, your father doesn't make my heart pound like you do either, ha ha!

[ A soft smile as her eyes close and she shifts a little like a cat in the middle of a satisfactory stretch. He may be messing up her bedhead even worse than usual, but it feels so nice that asking him to stop isn't even a consideration. ]

I think he'd be happy to hear that... he really did get a lot of attention from everyone.

[ She looks so content that his heart melts a little, and for a moment he forgets to speak as he takes her in. It really is a treat to see her so at ease. ]

... I'll have to tell him if I get a chance to see him, then. If that's not weird... it seems a little weird. [ it's totally weird. ] But it should be a natural conclusion if he knows I'm courting his daughter, heh.

Of course, I'd do everything I could to make her see things my way. Her opinion is important to me. But what's one opinion against all of you, Noire? My feelings wouldn't change.

[ admittedly, it's still difficult to wrap her mind around, and she might have the fever to blame for that, but she has to admit to a little awe. He's... definitely changed.

And because of that, she can be braver, something a tad more resolute entering her eyes. ]
