[ She's been staring at this green-covered tome for days. And a high-level one wouldn't just show up for no reason... she remembers the announcement. She knows what this is.

And Noire, knowing how many people she'd lost, and being one of the very few survivors, had very nearly pitched it out the window. But she'd known better than to toss out something so valuable. So, after several long days of indecision, she finally reaches a suitable conclusion.

Which is why she's knocking on Morgan's door now, tome clasped to her chest. ]

[ When Morgan opens the door, he's bumming it in an orange shirt that clashes horribly with his hair and a loose pair of shorts. He also has a wet and discolored rag in hand, if that explains anything, and his usual outfit is drying gently by the window.

But!! He beams just the same when he sees who it is and moves aside. ]

Noire! Come in!

[ Whatever the reason for her visit is, you don't leave your lady friend standing at the door!! ]

Sorry for intruding... and, um-- interrupting your cleaning?

[ But she'll trundle on in, glancing over at his damp outfit. ... Ah. ]

[ He closes the door behind her and then unceremoniously interrupts her with a tip of the chin and a kiss on the lips. Then he folds his rag up neatly and rests his hands on his hips. ]

You're never intruding! And if you're interrupting, you're always welcome. -- Say, is that my Elwind tome?

[ He only catches a glimpse of green in her arms. ]

[ and there goes Noire, flushing red and completely forgetting why she dropped by. Until Morgan reminds her, of course. ]

[ He crowds a little closer, trying to get a look at the tome. ]

I can't remember if I've ever used one, but... yes, I do know the incantation.

[ It comes to him easily. Thank you amnesia for skipping over his battle ability?? ]

Where did you get your hands on one of these?

I found it in my room... probably for being one of the few survivors. [ But she looks a little bitter, before she shakes her head and holds it out to him. ] I thought you and Morgan would have a better use for it.

Ahh. Well, if you're sure you don't want it, we'll be happy to take it off your hands. Thank you -- this'll be great for our stopping power!

[ And so he does take it, turning the tome over curiously. New tomes are always a godsend when your entire magic system is disposable. ]

Speaking of which, Ada got a piano! [ He gestures toward it. THERE'S A PIANO IN THE ROOM. It's over there, being non-disruptive. ]

A piano... um, it's very pretty?

[ guess who has never played a musical instrument in her life-- ]

It is! It's the first time I remembered seeing one, but it's hella neat. I'm hoping Ada will teach me how to play a song or two.

Yeah? As soon as I've got my act together, you'll be my first audience! It might take a bit of time, though. Tinkering with that thing is harder than I expected.

[ He crosses over to the piano and lifts the cover, exposing the black and white keys. ]

[ she has no idea how to play this thing. ]

Yup. It's simple! When you press them, it hits strings inside, kind of like a harp. And if you press those pedal thingies down there, it changes the sound a little... Give it a try, it won't bite.

[ He sits her down on whatever random bench-like thing they dug out for this. ]

R-right... so, like this?

[ ... And then she actually jumps a little when she hits a C. ]

Ha ha ha. Just like that. And you can press a few at a time, too!

[ A couple octaves over, he lays down the keys of a C chord one at a time, then all at once, letting its warm tone fill the room. ]

[ Guess who looks absolutely awed. ]

What a beautiful sound...

[ It's cool, that was him the first time too. ]

Isn't it? Isn't it?? And that's just one combination! Once you get really good at it, it must be like a symphony of one. Oz says Ada's a real talent, so I can't wait to hear her play something!

I'd like to hear it, too... I wonder if Brady would have enjoyed trying it.

[ He had a real talent for the violin... ]

I know he would! He's a gentleman at heart, and this just seems... kind of a gentlemanly pursuit!

[ Plus, Brady seemed really passionate about music... one of his charms. ]

[ But he blushes, taken by the compliment. It just seems a high thing to say about anyone. ]

Well, I'm flattered. It would be great if I absorbed anything from him without realizing! Stuff beyond how to fight, anyway.

I think if it came down to it, you would be just as good an Exalt as both him and Lucina.
